Install and licence

Install on Linux

Download OL-2 for Linux from kerfaudio.com/products/ol-2.
Close your host, or at least any project using OL-2.
Copy Kerf OL-2.clap into ~/.clap, the standard folder for your own CLAP plugins. Create the folder if it is not there.
Start your host and rescan plugins if it does not find OL-2 by itself. It appears as Kerf OL-2.

Uninstall: delete Kerf OL-2.clap from ~/.clap. Your projects still open; OL-2’s settings come back if you reinstall.

Requirements: a 64-bit (x86-64) Linux and a host that loads CLAP plugins, such as REAPER or Bitwig Studio. macOS is coming soon. There is no Windows version.

Evaluation

OL-2 works in full for 30 days from first use, with no reminders, and a note shows that the copy is not licensed. After day 30 nothing is locked and the sound is never affected, but each time you open the OL-2 window a reminder that you are still evaluating shows over the faceplate for 30 seconds, then you carry on.

Add your licence

Open the licence screen at any time, from the reminder or the rear panel. There are three ways:

Key file. Download ol-2-licence.kerflicence from Account › Licences and load it. One file works on all your computers, offline.
Activate online. Choose Activate, sign in at kerfaudio.com in your browser, check the code matches and approve the computer.
Activate offline. Save a request file, upload it on any computer at Account › Devices › Authorise offline device, then load the licence file you get back.

A licence removes the reminder and the note. It is perpetual and personal: run it on every computer you own, use it commercially, with updates within the major version included. Organisations need the organisation licence; registered charities can ask for the free charity edition. Full terms: kerfaudio.com/legal/licensing.
