Analyse 1

Install and licence

The easiest way, and it keeps Analyse 1 up to date. You need ReaPack, the free package manager for REAPER, from reapack.com.

  1. In REAPER, choose Extensions › ReaPack › Import repositories and paste the Kerf Audio repository: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Kerf-Audio/reapack/main/index.xml
  2. Choose Extensions › ReaPack › Browse packages, search for Analyse, right-click Kerf Audio Analyse 1 and choose Install, then Apply.
  3. Restart REAPER. Extensions load only when REAPER starts.
  4. Choose Extensions › Kerf Audio Analyse 1: Show/hide panel.

Updates arrive through ReaPack with Extensions › ReaPack › Synchronize packages.

  1. Download reaper_analyser-x86_64.so from your account at kerfaudio.com.
  2. Quit REAPER and copy the file into ~/.config/REAPER/UserPlugins, or the UserPlugins folder of a portable REAPER. Neither route needs sudo.
  3. Start REAPER and open the panel from the Extensions menu.

Get Analyse 1 from kerfaudio.com/products/analyse-1. It needs a free Kerf Audio account, so the download and every update after it live in one place you can come back to: Account › Downloads. You can choose whether to hear about new releases.

Quit REAPER, delete the extension file from UserPlugins (or uninstall it in ReaPack’s package browser) and start REAPER again. Nothing else is installed. Your layouts and settings stay in REAPER’s settings in case you come back.

REAPER 7.8 or later, 64-bit. Linux x86_64 with glibc 2.35 or later. macOS 26 Tahoe or later is coming soon. Kerf is Linux first: there is no Windows version of our REAPER extensions.

Analyse 1 is free to use, at home or commercially, on as many computers as you like, with no licence to add. It is not open source; the licence file that comes with it has the full terms, and kerfaudio.com/legal/licensing has our licensing policy.
